Incoloy330 is an austenitic heat and corrosion resistant alloy with a combination of strength and carburization resistance, oxidation and thermal shock resistance.This alloy is designed for use in high-temperature industrial environments where the combined effects of carburizing and thermal cycling are necessary, such as in applications in heat treatment industries.Carburizing and oxidation resistance to about 2100°F are improved by the silicon content in the alloy.Incoloy330 maintains complete austenite at various temperatures and is not subject to embrittlement from stress formation.It consists of a solid solution rather than being hardened by heat treatment.The strength and oxidation resistance of the alloy at high temperatures make it a useful material for industrial heating furnaces.Incoloy330 offers high levels of corrosion resistance, especially when it comes to oxidation, carburizing and nitriding.The chromium content of the alloy provides oxidation resistance and the nickel content provides reducibility in the aqueous environment.High nickel also gives Incoloy330 good resistance to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking.
